Batik Belanda

Batik Belanda(Dutch batik)  is a kind of batik, which grows and develops between 1840-1940. Most are made in the coastal areas of  java, such as Pekalongan, with the Dutch public market and the Indo-Dutch. Most shaped sarong, batik Netherlands appear in the typical patterns and motifs. Generally buketan pattern, in the interest of different alloys coupled with decorative birds feed supplement (especially storks, geese, small birds and butterflies), in bright colors for the European community.
Different from other Indonesian batik which is generally expressed in a stylized form, the Dutch batik motif is present in the real shapes: flowers, animals, airplanes, soldiers lined up a gun, and so forth. Even many Dutch batik drawings showing fragments of European fairy tales such as the skullcap Red, Snow White and Hanzel and Gretel. Some textile presents the influence of Chinese culture, such as patterns of Goddess Hsi Wang Mu, the pattern of puppets and even a circus scene.
Than just ordering batik to its existing craftsmen or merchants, for this time Dutch batik made by the Dutch in Indonesia. Iwan Tirta Batik in the book Sebuah Lakon, and H. Santosa Dullah in batik book, "Pengaruh Zaman dan Lingkungan" naming Carolina Josephina von Franquemont as a pioneer, who founded the batik company in Surabaya in 1840  which then move their operations to Semarang. She became famous with the discovery of green vegetable dye fastness, a substance that later became known as the green Franquemont.
Iwan and Santosa also mention other pioneers, namely, Carolina Catharina van Oosterom, the products known as batik Panastroman (from the word van Oosterom), created in Semarang, and then moved to Banyumas with many patterns that show the influence of the palace
